EKlegal’s clients are large and smaller companies but also individuals. EKlegal has considerable experience in advising and litigating about all kind of employment law matters, such as individual dismissal cases, reorganizations and collective dismissals, harmonizing and unilateral change of employment terms, drafting and adapting employment agreements and service agreements, non-compete and relationship clauses, and so on. EKlegal is also frequently involved in international employment matters.
Emmie van de Venn has started EKlegal in October 2016. Emmie has more than 15 years of experience in all kind of employment law matters. Emmie studied Dutch law at Leiden University, and started her career with Houthoff Buruma in The Hague and Rotterdam. In July 2005, she continued her practice for eleven years at Delissen Martens in The Hague. She had her specialist practice in employment law, and was the co-founder of the employment law section. Since October 2016 Emmie has her own employment law specialized law firm.
Emmie has successfully completed the Grotius Specialist Accreditation Course in Employment Law and she is a member of the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association (VAAN), the Breda/Den Bosch Employment Lawyers’ Association (VAR) and the The Hague Association of Employment Lawyers (VHA). Emmie also publishes on a regular basis about employment law topics.
